Practical answers

AI workshop questions, answered

Everything you need to know before taking a seat, without the jargon.

A Seat at the Table is a beginner-friendly, 2.5-hour AI workshop for eight women in Havre de Grace, Maryland. It costs $95 and no prior AI experience is required.

Do I need technical or AI experience?

No. The workshop is designed for complete beginners. If you can use email in a browser, you have enough technical experience. We begin with a shared example before anyone works independently.

Which AI tool will we use?

We use a widely available AI assistant in a web browser. You will receive the exact setup instructions before the session, so you can arrive ready without choosing between products.

What should I bring?

Bring a charged laptop and one real task you would like help completing: an email, proposal, plan, job description, marketing post or another item from your own list.

What will I leave with?

You will leave with one completed piece of work, a repeatable method for briefing an AI assistant, a take-home kit, ideas from the other participants and two weeks of follow-up.

What information should never go into an AI tool?

Do not paste passwords, confidential client material, unpublished financial information, sensitive personal data or anything you do not have permission to share. The workshop explains this boundary before practical work begins.

Where does the workshop take place?

It takes place in a private home in Havre de Grace, Maryland. The full address is shared after booking. Refreshments are included.

Why is the group limited to eight?

Eight is small enough for individual help and large enough to learn from other people’s examples. The workshop will not be expanded beyond eight seats.

Why is this workshop for women?

Research shows a gender gap in generative AI adoption, encouragement and perceived risk. A small women-only room creates safer conditions for experimentation. Read the research briefing.

What if I cannot attend after booking?

You may transfer your seat to the next table. Bookings are transferable rather than refundable.

What if the current date does not work?

Use the expression of interest form to ask about October or November. You will be contacted about A Seat at the Table only; this does not subscribe you to marketing.
